However some basic stuff:
KUBE started in 1993 being run completely by students, and boardcasting out of bean cans.
It grew over the years and got a FM licence later. In time the station started to move towards being boardcast online, until in September 2004 it made the complete conversion and became as it is today a online only radio station.
This proved to be an advantage for KUBE as in 2007 it won awards in both the New York Festivals and European Radio Award for "Best Online Only Radio Station."
KUBE has also recently won Keele University's Best Society of the Year in 2005/6 and in 2007/8, showing the KUBE continues to grow from strength to strength
